Sales weekend is only a week away, and lots of amazing new items are coming in store as you read this! We thought it would be fun to show you how versatile pieces really can be. We took one simple desk and styled it out to fit into two very different spaces. All items in the pictures will be available for purchase at Hello Sailor, open April 4-6.
Let's call our first look, papa's desk. When I look at this desk, it takes me back to the way my grandpa used to have his desk. I can almost smell the leather bound books he had stashed in the corner. We filled the space with items including books, an industrial lamp, industrial fan, a brown medical bottle, a wood stamp kit, and even turned a metal step stool into a side table. The secret to achieving this look is using items that are made of different types of metals and the neutral color pallet.
Items in picture: Wooden Grey Desk, Step Stool, Desk Lamp, Industrial Black Box, Scissors, Copper Mug, Pressure Cooker Gauge, Wood Stamps and Box, Brown Medical Bottle, Magnify Glass, Black Wooden Chair, Fan, Polaroid Camera, and Metal Wire Rack.
Let's call our second look mama's desk. This desk reminds me of my mama's space. Lots of color whimsy, and fun.
The secret to creating this space is filling it with lots of color. We stuck with a pallet filled with corals, golden yellows, turquoises and a splash of pink. We also added pops of industrial by including the silver letter R, the golden desk lamp, and the metal bird cage.
Items in Picture: Wooden Grey Desk, Gold Desk Lamp, Yellow Dish, Star Paper Weight, Turquoise Chair, Coral Pillow, Clear Bottle, Coral Glass Cup, Metal Bird, Bird Cage, Yellow Bin, Letter R, Floral Fabric Prints
Of course the secret to making any space your own is filling it with the things you love and we hope you will stop by Hello Sailor April 4-6 to fall in love with some new items for your home. We would LOVE to see pictures of the items you have purchased from Hello Sailor and how you have styled them in your own space. If you would like to share these pictures please email them to hellosailorkc@gmail.com. Happy Weekend Everybody!
